June 12, 1937: Paul Leggett and Mark
Anthony Wright set up a company with
equal partners in a sea-going venture.
They outfitted a small sailing schooner
for charters, in deep-sea fishing, whale
watching, and other sundry undertakings.
Mark’s father is the sole investor,
making Paul and Mark joint partners.
The book is now called only My Betrayal.
Then as war breaks out they seek out
contracts with the government to supply
fish for the armed forces. This added
fishing venture to their endeavours of
moneymaking, and is the cause of
conflict of two different personalities,
leaves Paul open to treachery. Paul and
Mark’s friendship is on shakey ground.
